Joseph High (BSBA ’76) attributes much of his success to UNC Kenan-Flagler – and his father, a small-business owner. Speaking with students, High shares his lessons of experiences including the importance of “leaving the organization stronger than you found it. Be a good steward.” High and his wife, Kathleen High (BA ’78), have done just that at UNC by sharing their time, expertise and financial support. For the Highs, fellowship “becomes real and has purpose when you genuinely learn how to love, give, serve, support, care for and encourage others.” They are committed to producing leaders “who have the will and competence to lead well in an increasingly diverse environment where economic, education and health disparities between groups are high, civility and tolerance are low, and the need and opportunity for UNC Kenan-Flagler to show the way under these circumstances are imperatives.”
